Merit Badge ( Electricity, Electronics and Computer)
New Resource for Electricity, Electronics and Computer Merit Badges Introduced
The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.) is developing a new instructional program for the Electricity, Electronics and Computer Merit Badges. The program is titled ³emeritbadges.org² and can be found at:
www.emeritbadges.org
The mission of emeritbadges.org project is to provide a global non-discriminatory pre-college technology education program for boys and girls. The emeritbadges.org project requests that individual scout troop web sites provide a link to their new web site.
The emeritbadges.org project will be coordinating the Electronics Merit Badge Booth at the 2005 National Scout Jamboree Merit Badge Midway.
Jamboree weather, maps, directions and photos will also be provided at www.emeritbadges.org . Members of the IEEE emeritbadges.org team recently conducted peer reviews of the newly revised Electricity and Computer Merit Badges.
